I too was undecided about the bob or superglide. I ended up with the superglide and upgraded my pipes. I really enjoy it and I am glad I have it. I am all set for now I like the set up.
Had the same debate back when I decided to join the HD family. At first I was all set on the bob,but after looking more into it I decided to go with the SG.Not a big fan of spoke wheels,or ape hangers. And the SG is 2000 cheaper which gives you a good starting budget for add ons.Yea,its just a plain SG when it left the dealer but I like the idea of customizing it to my options.Just my opinion.
I have been dead set on the SG for about a month and then I found a stealer who had the two St bobs. I am going to go with the SG because I want the vivd black and I am not into the spokes. Thanks everyone for your input.
I was in the same boat. I was sold on the Sg. But I couldn't stand the gray tranny. I thought it looked cheap. My wife comented on it as looking like plastic. By the time I would buy the chrome upgrades it would have been the same cost as the bob. So I bought the vivid black bob. I love the comfort a little more also on the bob. But if you don't mind the gray parts sticking out. Go for it.
If you can find a Black Denim Bob get it. It never ceases to amaze me how well this paint takes abuse. My Bob is an everyday working bike and the paint is fantastic. Cleans up easily and completely.
