So bummed, on the way home tonight took a familiar corner just a little faster than normal, very used to dragging my heels when I lean a little hard, but gawd dangit, I really didn't think I could do this.
Anyone else dragging Big Radius on the front elbow like that.
I mean I'm glad you can't see it standing up but sheeeezeeit I still got tire left and the pipes are dragging. dmn!
I feel ya man... I have Rush slip-ons on my 09' Street Bob, and I was riding the Hwy 129 "Dragon" in TN. the other day, and it didn't dawn on me until I got home that my rubber foot pegs shouldn't be making a scraping noise. Upon further inspection, I noticed I had mucked up the lower exhaust pipe AND the bottom edge of my primary case. My bike is at a little less than 1000 moles, so I am a little dismayed over it.
Oh yeah, know exactly what you mean..... don't sweat it... it's a badge... besides, it's just the heatshield... not the pipe.
I still got about 1" to .75" of tire left... like you said. It's okay... I don't ride like that all the time. I plan on putting some stiffer springs in the forks, and a little thicker fork oil. I think my front end compressed quite a bit, and allow the pipe to "dip" forward.

You ever try leaning the bike over like that in the garage/driveway? After washing the bike, I lean it each way to drain the water puddles. Granted, apples to oranges, but I can't even come close. But I've left my share of chrome on the roads...
