Default FatBob riser question

Hi folks this may seem a silly question but my bike is in Florida and I am in Portugal and I have ordered a load of spares for my bike for when I get there to change out. One of those things I want to do is change the standard black risers to some chrome leant back ones. Now the silly question. Does any of the control cables run through the risers and if so do I have to get risers for my bike to allow the space, or are they just holding the bars on and thats it.

Cheers all.
Steve

Thanks for the quick response, its what I thought but the cables on the fatbob are hidden in the bars so they must come out somewhere, I just could not remember if they used the risers.

I just took a look at mine and the wires go thru the center of the handlebars. The only wire is a ground connected underneath. Post pict's when done, it should look good!

The risers just hold the bars, the HD chrome pull backs stretch the cables about 2 inches overall, I think. Risers with much longer than that and you may have to think about cable length. The stock Riser cap looks like two pieces but is actually one piece.

If you are mounting a tach up there too, the tach angle changes.

Some here have complained that the riser bushings have too much play, you may want to think about replacing the stock bushings with poly bushings.

here's a picture scoob.

nothing passes through the risers.

keep in mind, when looking for your new risers, the FatBob bars are 1 1/4"

The risers just hold the bars. The insulated wire between the risers holds all of the wires that are hidden in the bars.
