Hey all,
Recently i change out my rear brake pads on my 08 dyna. Everything seemed fine for about a month, and now all of a sudden the rear brake is sticking. When i press on the brake lever it wont retracted on its own, causing me to manually pull back on the brake pedal. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it.
If you did not clean the caliper pistons while changing pads. Try cleaning caliper and pistons with brake cleaner and a old toothbrush. After cleaning check piston operation/movement as they should move at about the same rate. You might have to do several times. If that does not work check master cylinder and brake lines.
I had a bad rear master cylinder on my '08 Fatbob. You can check that by taking off the cover, pressing the brake, then watching for a bubble, or surge of fluid up through the small hole in the bottom rear of the m.c. when you release the brake pedal.
