I can see why wide glide owners wouldn't like this, after thinking, maybe they shouldn't have called this the wide glide, maybe something else. The wide glide should stand for a chromed out bike with the bobtail fender.
Maybe it'll make all your older wideglides more valuable now. They are classic wideglides.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. The front end, the spoke wheels, the forward controls, the bobtail fender, and LOTS of chrome. THAT is a Wide Glide.
The more I look at the 2010 Wide Glide the more I can understand why a lot of people are not happy with the changes. Especially owners of previous year model WG's. It is a lot different than what the WG has ever looked like before. Wide Bob might have been a better name for this new bike than Wide Glide. I still like it though, and I look forward to seeing one in person.
To me - they cheapened the Wide Glide name by calling this new bike the Wide Glide. A different name - I wouldn't be so critical.
If I had the cash to change the black pieces n parts back to chrome, the bars, exhaust, etc... it would be pretty cool. But I don't forsee that happening anytime soon.
It's not that I hate it, but I won't purchase it...
