09 Street Bob, vs 2010 street bob

The 09 grew on me
I had the 07 Street Bob and sold it earlier in the year. Since Harleys are so damn expensive here in korea(about $20,000 for bone stock SB) I usually get them used.
Picked the new 09 one up with only 7500 kms and over a year left in warranty but before I was like, why in the world did they paint the primary SILVER???
I was looking through some of the sites and realized that the 10's reverted back to black.
I still chose the 09 because I think its meant to be looked at in a different way than the older and the newer ones.
I guess if you like the black then you go with it and go for the dark horse look, but I dunno. Its right now in the shop getting a few mods done, and Right now, I like the way it looks and like it even more that the silver primaries were just for a year.
I do think you have to soop it up differently though.

I love the Pewter with the gray. (not sure I'd call it gray? Maybe "silvery??, lol). In fact Pewter is the only color I personally like the gray with. And I never particulary cared for pewter. BUT... when I first saw that combination at the dealer I thought "wow - I would have SERIOUSLY considered that if it had been around when I bought my bike!!". Sweet combo in my opinion.

I blacked my 09 engine out for less that $50 bucks! I took off my exhaust and taped everything that I didnt want black, then I hit it with header paint. The same stuff you would spray your pipes with if you were blacking them out. I did this back in January and put close to 6k on my bike since...and it still looks freaking MINT. I love the way it looks!
