If the weather is nice, I may take a ride up to the stealer and look at one in person. It's still not a WG, but I want to see what it looks like in person.

Im going to an hd open house on sunday... Im hoping they have a few new bikes, they usually do when they have this event. But i really like the looks of the new wide glide, but coming from a street bobber... Its my style.

I like it, but I agree that they should have named it something other than Wide Glide with it being blacked out with the different rear fender and the narrower tank. It's really a Street Bob with a wide, raked front end. I think the Fat Bob pipes were a mistake, too...they make it look like too much of a parts bin project (which I guess it is).

I like it too...that 180 rear tire, chopped rear fender and side plate look good. I'm gonna have to check one out in person instead of just lookin' at pics.

kind of a mixed-up cross between a STREET BOB and a FAT BOB. not crazy about it.

We just uncrated our first 2010 Wide glide, it looks much better in person than on the site . Still needs apes though, JMO

Those that own Street Bobs or Fat Bobs seem to like the new blacked out bike, small wonder. The majority of Wide Glide owners do not. I will not call it a Wide Glide because that is not what it is. The new bike is a collection of off the shelf parts from several bikes. It is a last minute idea from the design teams trying to cut corners and price points in order to prop up the slow down in sales of new bikes. HD is simply trying to capitalize on the blacked out bike fad that is going on. Eventually the economy will improve (wishful thinking), or some builder will come up with a different look and the style will change. Who knows maybe they will bring the Wide Glide back one day as an old school bike.

I'm becoming obsessed with this bike. I hope it wears off when I see one in person. I just got my Fat Bob in January!

That is what I am noticing too.

I would have to agree....seems like everything they are putting out now days looks like a factory bobber (except the baggers)......ok an exaggeration but you know what I mean.
