Any way you spell it, it's still a Wide Glide.

So, today I stopped in Thunder Tower HD in Columbia,SC to get some stuff (fluid change) and inquired about the demo days they're going to have at the end of the month. The salesman pointed out they had a 2010 WG. I had walked right past it three times. :::slap on the wrist:::

I had a little fun with him. We were discussing the new rendition of the WG and he made the statement "all dyna frames are the same". I said "ok, so then why can't I put the tri-bar taillight from the fat bob on my 07 WG?" He couldn't answer me. I also asked "did harley use the fxdf frame for the new WG?" He said "I think so." Ok, then I said "So, I could get a fat bob bobtail fender and put it on the '10 WG, right?" Again he couldn't answer. I said "if the tribar taillight fits 06+ WG, you'd make a lot of people happy but the parts catalog states FXDF only, so is the new WG based on the fat bob frame and if so, then not all dynas use the same frame?" I was just using the tribar as an example.

He had started talking a big game to me..and I figured I'd just have a little fun and MAYBE find out some details that I have assumed up to this point. He said on the new WG they're using the street bob fender which makes me wonder...

I'm just very curious...who knows...if they made me an offer I couldn't refuse, I'd pick up a '10 WG...and of course with all that I know now, that bike wouldn't leave the dealer without some serious stuff. Although my bike is in need of some body work from my dump that happened a few months back. I do still have my stock exhaust minus the heatshields, but I don't have the mini-apes..they're long gone along with the stock seat and some other stuff.

I do plan on going to demo days..and I really wanna ride the '10 cvo fat bob and maybe the '10 WG...and whatever else I can get my hands on. <efg>

Haven't seen one in person yet, but could easily 'transform' it into an 'old school' Wide Glide.
Apes, rear fender from Fat Bob, maybe a 30T pulley, already got the 180 rear tire and lowered suspension.
Add the chrome package to the motor if you wish.
Not as far off as it seems.

Don't forget to post pics of your new ride, SC!

Its OK, really, some people have to think highly of themselves because no one else does, it would seem you are one of those. Typically one that needs to put some one else down, especially for something so trivial, has serious self esteem issues. Its OK, take a deep breath and let it out, no one will put you down for it...lmao

**Had to edit... I guess I'm getting nice in my old age as well...LMAO **

None-the-less, to the topic...

I was recently at a dealer here as well so I took a look. While it doesn't even remotely look like a WG to me it is a very nice scoot for sure. It sits nice, looks nice and I'm betting it rides nice. I'd buy one but I still think they should have called it something else.

SC that was pretty entertaining, I'm sure he wont soon forget you!
