According to harley part numbers the 2010 FXDC & FXDWG tanks are the same !
So surely the tank console from the wide glide will fit my SG Custom ?
I know the speedo is smaller on the Wide Glide, so would look at replacing mine with a 4" speedo, with regard to electrics for ignition etc. surely they should be the same ?
Have tried a chrome lower tank console, but don't really like the look of it, it all looks a bit bulky, think the WG setup looks alot better. Suppose my other option is to look out for a WG Tank on ebay !!!

The Super glide custom and WG tanks were the same untill 08 when the WG was discontinued.
When they brought the WG back in 2010 they used the smaller Street bob/Lowrider tank with the 4 inch speedo.
If you look at the 2010 Specs for both Harley lists the SGC tank as 5 Gallon and the WG as 4.7 Gallon
It was the tank console set-up they used on the 08 SE Dyna that they transplanted to the new WG.

This is all getting a bit confusing know, or maybe i'm a bit stupid !!! Could not get my local HD dealer to confirm either way, some of the guys in there said the 08 SE console would fit my SG tank as the tanks are the same, which is what you are saying about the tanks being the same until 2008, but if the 2010 WG tank is a smaller Street bob/low rider tank, how come the console set-up from the 08 SE Dyna fits ??
Or maybe I am being completely thick now & the SE Dyna and 08 WG were different ?
Please forgive my ignorance, but I just want to be able to get the look i'm after, hopefully...

As far as electronics the switch will work but will probally need new dummy lights as well. So looking at a new harness, plus new top plate and seal, your fuel pump and guts inside the tank will swap over.
Tank, Console, top Plate, harness and some odds and ends. It can add up in a hurry.
You also need to give them your ignition key number when you order they will make you 2 copies of your current one and you will have 4 keys ! ( No charge either )
