Me too. I was planning on getting a new Street Bob next Jan but I can't help but to start leaning towards that new WG........I gotta see one up close....frwd controls on it might not work out for me.
Oh man... one of my friends is a salesman at my local dealership. Yesterday he told me they won't have them for a loooong time... then he posts a pic of the packing slip for one that just arrived today. I think he's taunting me.
What you mean they raked it out more? More than the 36* overall (34* neck, 2* trees)??
According to the specs that were posted earlier in this thread by Airborne350G, (see the pdf file. Post #23) The frame rake is 34 degrees and I suspect that the trees still have 2 degrees of rake for a total of 36 degrees , no change there. The fork tubes however are one inch shorter than those used on pervious models. There are other changes listed, if you download the file you can see what they are.
I looks like a nice bike but a Wide Glide is ape hangers and chrome!!!!! Always has been but isn't anymore!!!! This bike has neither
I fixed that for you.....seems Willie G decided to screw up his previous masterpiece. I personally think Alien seedpods must have taken over his mind and body....or he just had too many leftover parts from various models just sitting on the factory shelves collecting dust.

For **** Sake...get over yourselves....Does a '09 corvette look anything like a '58??..Is it any less a corvette?? Compare Malibu, Seabring, GTO, Triumph, Sportster, Honda Shadow, F100,,,,,,, and I could go on and on as I am sure you can too. It's evolution,,,It's marketing,,,call it what you want,,if the dealer says it is a Wide Glide, then that is what it is. I like it.
The tank is not narrower.. .They increased the tunnel on the Dyna tanks. Read about all the parts off FXDB, FXDC, and FXDF on the WG and changes to the rest here.
But that is definitely not the same Fat Bob tank the Wide Glides have always sported and that the SG Custom still uses (holds 5 gallons compared to the new Wide Glide's 4.7). It looks like the same tank as a Street Bob, but with the switch on the consol where it belongs. It's shaped different and looks narrower in back.
BTW- that scarlet red on the Custom & Fat Bob is sweet. I'll never know why they don't color match the batt & elec covers (and headlight on the Custm).

Uh, some of those things would be considered epic failures and a disingenuous use of the name of a formerly great machine. Malibu? Really now. GTO? Please. And don't even get me started on the Hinkley Triumphs. I think one of the worst, was that abortion from Korea that they called a LeMans.
