A few test rides may help you alot. I was really considering a Street Glide untill I test rode one. While it rode great and I liked it I could tell really quick I wouldnt want it for the majority of the riding I do.
I may buy me a older RK in a couple years but we will see.
Recently I've seen an increase of Dyna riders trading in for Touring bikes, whether they be a Street Glide or Road King...
All I have to say is that you guys suck...you're doing nothing more than fanning the flames for my desire to do the same. I thought I was stuck on the Street Glides until I saw Devil Haircut's and les63's Road Kings. Both are beautiful bikes!
Recently I've been looking to add a detachable windshield and bags on my LR, but after seeing these two Road Kings, will I be happy with my "wannabe" Tourer...and I'm really thinking of a Road King over the Street Glide. This sucks!
Decisions, decisions....what to do....
Dude...your LR is sick, seems ya got it just the way ya want it (fu**in clean)! I would suggest do what ya been doin & when you can afford to get a new or couple yr old bagger go for it! May take a bit, but then you'll have no regrets & you will have regrets on ditchin your dyna! IMO baggers are pretty convenient (great for what they're intended for), but not great enough not to have my dyna anymore!!!
I went from a Sporty to a Super Glide Custom to an Ultra and then Back to a Fat Bob... I really like the FB, I can see myself getting a Road King in the future, but not getting ride of the Fat Bob
