I am having the same problem and I cant get a straight answer. I think you can use any dyna 2006 and up with 49 mm forks except for a wide glide. If anyone knows anything else can you please help us !!
I do believe that all the risers execpt springer are 3 1/2" you should be able to use any risers and bars on your bike I know the bolt pattern on the risers is differant on the 06 and later dynas
Yeah 06-08 dynas will for sure fit, except wide front ends (fatbob and wide glide). Just need to replace top tree. Might also work with 09/10 but i cant say for sure, but should.
The reason us street bobbers have to have the top trees is because harley intergrated the risers on the top tree. There is no way to bolt on any kind of riser, except for some riser extensions that are out there. Other than that you must put a new top tree on. I know harley did this for a reason to keep those apes stable, but if your switching from apes to something else then its a hassle.

is that why they did it?......I thought it was just to **** us off and force us to by new triple trees from them.........
oh and btw I noticed in the new J&P catalogue the other day that Accutronix is selling a complete replacement set of trees for the 49mm fork dynas in either chrome or black..........crazy expensive though - like $900 I think........
I got my 2" risers from a member on this site - Loner Industries - they are great quality and probably the easiest mod I've done. Took less than 5 minutes to bolt them on.
Depending on what bars you want to change to you might not have to do anything. A riding friend with a 09 SB put on Nightster bars and they fit just fine with the stock tree (look & feel great too I might add). I believe there's a member on the forum that did the same thing.
I was going to do the same but ended up with a different bike.
If you're looking do something else then disregard.
