I got mine sitting in the garage waiting. Did you grind yours down or just bolt it up. Also can you post some pics close up at the bolt up location.
You need to grind down the mounting pads to change the angle. Funny thing, I put one on the Ol Lady's Sporty and didnt have to grind at all. Go figure.
Jaron B I did mine a bit differently .....I didnt grind mine, I made 2 rubber wedges out of the pads that were on the bottom of my stock seat . I didnt want to compromise the chrome , They fill the gap perfectly .It also acts as a gasket that protects the paint from any issues....
I made a small notch in the Taillamp bezel to run the wires( They plug right in to the stock receptacles that the old wires were in . The gasket supplies plenty of sealing .

I thought about that as well, just didn't know what I wanted to use yet, but now I know if I go that route. I want to grind it down, but like you I'm worried about the chrome. I know JMPcoast grinded his down and it's been like a year or so and his chrome seems fine he say. We'll see! I'm going to make a fiberglass mold and play with it before I cut into the bike
