on my dads 07 road glide we took that cover that goes in front of the headlights and used a "tail light smoke spray" on it, looks killer, also used it for our brake lights. highly recommend the stuff... it's called VHT Niteshades. like $12 a can and they JUST started stocking it at the local advance auto
