That is the HD part number for black sigs. I wonder if the chrome ones could be some how made black. I know painting the chrome wont work but can the chrome be sandblasted off since it is plastic?
Thanks VA, but I'm looking at the front turn signals, moved to the forks. The arms that attaches them are blacked out as well. They have a relocation kit for older Dynas, but not in black for the Fat bob. I was all excited when I saw it on the HD websight, but my local dealer said there aint nothin in the new parts book.
Not mine, but here's my brother's WG. Vance & Hines straight shots, Stage one intake, Power Commander and a whole bunch of powdercoating. Signal lights, shift/brake lever and linkage, clutch/brake levers, fork lowers and triple trees, battery cover, a/c cover, horn cover and the belt guard. Next up he plans on doing a set of Flanders 27" 18* drag bars(black) and signal relocation and a LePera Bare Bones seat.
This is real nice! I am looking to change my bar to black one as well. I already did the linkage but need to do the levers. Ask him to send a pic of the bars and relocated mirrors. Would like to see it!
I've painted Chrome on my bike just take some scotch pads or sand paper to it scuffle it up real good. Clean and rub down with alcohol. And if your worried about the paint adhering throw a coat of primer on first done it many times. Painted my belt guard head light bezel tail light trim air cleaner horn cover... Just to name few parts
And there are other resources to relocate your turn signals np and drag specialties make kits that will mount your turn signals right against your triple tree without the ugly arms. Or you could look into the DIY mod I mentioned earlier.

Thanks I might try that with my belt guard. Im going to finnish the wiring for the fender swap (just got the rest of my plugs I need). Then Im going to fab a sissy bar (in the works now) . In other words my bike is still not finished. I will post up pics when Im done.
Yup Thumperhdcmc is right on the money. I have painted chrome parts black. Did the same thing. Hit it with 220 grit then 400 grit then wipe down with alcohol. Then spray it. Wet sand with 600-800 if it isnt smooth and hit it again. This pic was taken with my phone but I painted my cowbell, fuse cover, and coil cover with spray paint.
Stay tuned because Project Black Glide kicks off next week sometime! I'm painting the tins satin black (not with spray paint) and blacking out some more parts.

You can paint em no problem.... just scuff em up with some sandpaper or scotchbrite then hit em with tremclad or applicance epoxy. Either that or send em out to get powdercoated.
