I just finished a very boring 6 weeks of no riding. I ate it on a curve but not because of a car. I just happened to be behind another rider (on a Honda no less) who went around a very lazy curve on a bright and sunny afternoon. He laid down right in front of me!!! I've never seen anyone go down before, and being that it was a one lane road with traffic coming the other direction- I paniced and squeezed the breaks. Well, you can deduce what happened next. I guess it wasn't so bad because I was able to ride home after two arms and palms full of road rash and a broken left arm. I had to get the people in the car behind me to lift the bike off me because I was completely trapped. I asked the biker in front "why did you do that?!? there weren't any vehicles in front of you for 100 yards!!!!" and called him an idiot.
Anyway, I shook off the rust and did a 400 mile trip from ATL up through the Charahola. I'm excited to show the result of repairs because my tank got all bashed up and I had to repaint my tins. Always wanted a white bike and got that chance. Finally got the bike looking like I want it. Are there any other people with white dyna's out there? I don't see many.
Good to hear you're none the worse for wear, and white looks pretty good on a superglide. Did you break your arm when you went down, or when you popped the Hondidiot upside the head?
I'm sorry you crashed, but to call the other rider an idiot is a serious case of the pot calling the kettle black. Why were you following so closely that you didn't have enough room to stop when he went down?!
I'm saying- I like the blacked out look, but I think too many people do it. I like a unique look.
Oh, and by the way- wasn't following close. I had a nice gap, of about 3 car lengths going less than 30mph. The sight of the man crashing jolted me and my reaction was incorrect. Gotta learn from this one.
And no, I didn't knock him upside his head like I should have. My arm slamming the pavement is what caused the break. Lucky my head didn't go anywhere near the pavement!!! (yes I where a helmet always)
the pics he posted above don't do it justice, the paint looks a lot better in person. I've seen the bike and it has a blue hue to it in the light. The guy did a terrific job on the paint. By the way enjoyed the ride, and thanks for the pics.
