Lowrider front suspension
I picked up 2003 Black Lowrider with only 1500mi on it. The front suspenion sucks. I want to change the springs with out changing the height. What springs are the best and what weight fork oil should I use.

Why not first change the fork oil? Go to Belray 10w or 15W. Lift the front end to extend the forks, remove the fork cap, watch out for the spring unloading, remove drain screw at bottom of fork, drain oil, install screw. add 11 ozs. The extra .4 oz. stiffens the fork a little. Install fork cap, now do other side. One side at a time. Visit Progressive Suspension site for spring info.

I changed the springs with new stock height progressives and it made a world of difference. I went back with stock fork oil. I weight 190, if you are a heavy guy you may want to try heavier oil. But I agree to try changing the oil first and see what happens. Its cheap and too easy.
