My 06 EFI SG is not running as cleanly as it once did. Only 6K miles, but now I get a bit of hesitation when cold, more cranks required to start, and the surging at steady throttle openings is noticeable (I have the "old" injectors"). Was thinking of dumping some Sea Foam in the tank. Have any of you done that? Any results (good or bad)? Thanks.
the sea foam wont hurt, the problem is those 8deg injectors. a friend had a early 06 with the 8s, a dealer changed them and did the reflash no charge. i would call your dealer and ask if they are still covered .

Going through this right now.
The stealer thinks that if there was a problem, it would have been there in 2006. I guess they don't understand that it may have worked then, but starting to act up now.
They would rather try to soak me to pay than HD...told them Harley has more money than me!
Thanks guys. Did change the plugs and the old ones looked just a tad lean, but nothing critical I don't think. Am going to dump some Seafoam in there before I take a longer ride so I can get through the tank and run a bit of new fuel through it. Always worry about cleaners affecting stuff, particularly gaskets, O-rings, etc. I also should question the Stealer about those old injectors as they certainly are a known problem.
