Yep, take it to someone who has a little more time and won't rush the job. I always insist on observing the run, too. That way you'll know if they do something that could damage the engine, like overreving it. It's your money, so you should get whatever service you want from them.

Did you go back and check on it?

Also, when you say you have the V&H "SS" pipes, do you mean the straightshots or the shortshots? The shortshots are terrible at making low and mid range torque. The straightshots aren't too bad though, as long as you leave the baffles in them.
