Default EXT. Warranty

Ok some of you are familiar with my bike and its several warranty issues:

front master cylinder leaked paint peeled / changed for new
front primary thick rubber gasket was kinked / changed for new
horn just started squeel-honking / changed out
porous crankcase covers / changed out too
starter drive clutch died / done by HD montreal and the new part is apparently revised and proven sturdier
Fatbob exhaust support bracket bolts ripped out from too much weight= poor design/ re-tapped and changed out

These next two were likely my fault:

battery died / changed for new, I think i left the master switch on for 2.5 hours that day-DOH
Rear brake rotor warped / changed that under warrenty too! ,and the service rep even told me , i think I took offf with a rotor lock in place on the back one day-DOH
So all in all you can see I have a decent dealer who is helping me alot.i was never charged a cent for any of that work, naturally being warranty issues, even when it was my goof-ups.
My warranty will be up end of oct '09 and I inquired about the ext warranty so here's the deal;
for five full years of the same no questions asked HD warranty as the factory warranty. I would have to pay 2500$ canadian + @#%^* tax of course. 2875 total which is 2660$ US.
Icluded in that price is free unlimited towing ( can be had from Hog for 100 a year) Drawback is the 56.49 base charge each time it goes in. So I would have to bring it in only when it has three or 4 issues to lump them together or unless it has a major issue like transmission or sumpm, then 56 is dick right?, and save on the base charge.
I think it is pricey given the 56$ base charge, alot of my issues have been resolved and might never re-occur The engine runs great,no electrical problems,(yet knock on wood) great balance easy handling Love the bike and plan to keep it.
My cheap-*** Scottish side is saying don't waste your money we'll be fine! Trust me!
My cautious {pansy-*** as someone on here called me for saying i don't need a gun in the house)}insecure canadian side is saying do it just in case.
It's a giant crap shoot because no 2 bikes behave the same way but what do you all suggest please!

Might look into getting it through Zanotti or Chicago HD.... They should be cheaper.

ca coute cher certain mon homme! And tabarnak fits too! but look 960 US for 2 years = 2400 for 5 years, our price 2660 is 260 more with the same approx deductible. it's not that outrageous unless I should get a cheaper price for shear amount of warrented years!

My personal philosophy is never to buy extended warranties on anything including Harley's. I think it is basically a profit center for the retailer. Occasionally I get burned but on balance in the long run I think I am well ahead.
