Question backrest vibration

Does anyone's passenger backrest shake like a paint shaker at cruising speed? I was doing around 60mph in 5th and 6th gear, put my hand against the backrest and felt what I think is a lot of vibration. Now I understand why my passenger complains of irritated back.
anyone?

Yep, mine does, but since I rarely have a passenger, I don't sweat it.

mine rattle's alot when my RPM's are winding down. if I hit a bump or any surface change I guess. mine is a loose fit where the detachable part fit's onto the hardwere for attaching and removal. complained and the only way to make a tight fit is to pull the bottom part of the backrest outward, makeing it wider. (with your hands) HD should make a better product or should I say who ever HD has makeing this product should do a better job.... we all pay alot of money we should get a better product.

Default rattle in detach backrest

I have a 09 fat bob and had a big rattle with the detach back rest. Service tech said that they all do that on the dynas. Went to the owner of the dealership and he came right out and tried bending the backrst frame out and black elctrical tap on the studs. He said the back rest was a lot tighter a few years ago but people were complaining that it was too hard to remove or scratched the fender while struggling with it. They are all loose now.....My fix was to remove the rear mounts and add a washer. When installing the rest I have to bend outwards just a little bit. This puts a little pressure on the lock and it reduced the rattle by 90%. The other 10% was eliminated by taking apart the back rest and put 1 layer of duck tape around the back rest where it slides into mount then replace the screws. No more rattle.
