SOOOOO thats what they look like clean... hmmmm Maybe I ........ nahhhhhh ... its a good idea I guess but I have a plan. Ride up to Chicago to ride with JRK5892. I figure my bike is so dirty it would be an embarresment and he would gladly wash the ole' gal.

Yeah, I read his post the other day about washing his friends bikes before they ride if he thinks they are too dirty for his taste. Bike looks good though. I've got two I need to bath myself. Making a trip to Palo Duro Canyon next weekend and like to start with a clean bike.

Those are actually just polished stainless covers off of an 07' FXD that I purchased from a fellow member here. She gets the **** spanked out of her every now and then. Now I need a chrome 21" up front and a chrome in the rear. Some 16" apes with chrome controls and braided cables. Need to install the chrome rear pulley cover and chrome swingarm I have. This is the first real cleaning she has had. I usually clean her up with a bottle of Windex and a soft cloth. I don't know why but I can't stand water spots.

 

She looks sweet now. I can't wait to see her all dressed-up! I'm shopping for a 21" front and 18" rear myself too. The rain is supposed to subside tonight, and you've inspired by to wash my nasty little girl tomorrow. Thanks!

 

I like the black cylinders on the silver case and chrome accents, was that by designed or a "let's see what this will look like"?
