1. Can my baffles be rattling inside my vance and hines pipes?
It sure sounds like it.
Is this normal? If not, other than removing the baffles, is there a fix...anyone know?
2. When i have my bike in gear, shut off, it's harder to move than when in neutral. Also, when i start it in gear it wants to lug forward just the slightest bit...I mean very slight.
Are these two things normal, or should I be concerned about adjusting the clutch?
1. I would check for a loose mount on your exhaust.
2. I'm assuming that you mean bike is off, in gear, clutch lever pulled in, and is harder to move than in neutral. If your bike is trying to pull forward with the clutch lever pulled in, it sounds like it is not fully disengaging.
-->You'll need to adjust the cable and/or take the derby off and adjust the clutch.
3. Don't start your bike in gear. (imagine if the bike wanted to pull a LOT more than just a little...)
I have done that...and it appears the baffles are loose inside. How are they attached?
To remove the baffles, take the heat shields off of the pipes. there should be screws on the bottoms if i can remember correctly.
lol... yes... I mean with the clutch lever pulled in
Would it be any different if you started it in neutral then kicked it in gear with the clutch pulled in? Seems like it's the same thing.
I guess it is the same thing. Me personally, i'm not usually paying a lot of attention or sitting on the bike always when i start it. so if it wanted to walk away on me i would have a problem. If i'm kicking it into gear i'm at least "ready" to ride. I know plenty of people that start in gear, its just something i never really did.
