The Ness Big Sucker is a kit that comes with a higher flowing filter and a different back mounting plate.....the mounting plate is designed to flow more air than the stock one as well....the stock plate is very restrictive as is the stock filter - you need to change them both.
True, if you're out drag racing. Normal riding the engine will have plenty of air available thru the stock air cleaner!!
whoaaaa, do i really need PC-V if i install a stage-1 A/C..
and i have Slipons???
No. With the stage 1 Ac and slip ons you dont need any fuel management changes at all......if you want to maximize the performance of the bike however you can get a PC, or a race tuner or any number of fuel managment upgrades but they are not necessary with just the AC and pipes.........
With a stage 1 if you cruise alot the plugs will be white anyway. If you ride hard and hardly ever cruise they will tan up a little. It only richens the fuel when you twist it pretty hard.Hard enough to come back into open loop.
Big Block
In my opinion....install the slip-ons...enjoy the music...and it's not decel popping..it's gurgling..
anybody to the contrary??? If all you want is a pleasing exhaust note???

Well I went and bought the SE breather kit. This is an 09 SG with Rinehart slip ons.
The guy said I now need a Race Tuner and to get the bike dynoed and tuned by them. He told me my fuel will be too lean and I will screw up my Valve stems or something over time. He said if you ride 1,000 miles a year chances are you wont ever see a problem but if you ride 5000-10000 miles a year your gonna screw up the engine. I'll do the race tuner thing sooner than later but he sure did scare the crap out of me.
get a tts mastertune instead
you will absolutely never regret it
and it can do anything you will ever need
people say, but you cant sell it seperately if I sell my bike
but you have to ask yourself "am I looking for a used fuelpak?"
a pipe or muffler only change is generally accepted as being within the range that the stock setup can accomodate
In my opinion....install the slip-ons...enjoy the music...and it's not decel popping..it's gurgling..
anybody to the contrary??? If all you want is a pleasing exhaust note???
