Vic, I wasn't at all offended. In fact, I see a slight brownish tint in the pipes too.....and it pisses me off!

I think your pipes look good for being black. Forget the high temp BBQ paint. I tried that on a black pipe I had and it was gray looking after a week. If you want then any blacker you will have to go with powder coated heat shields.

I saw the coolest looking set of wrenches the other day they were black chrome. The color reminded me of my vivid black bike.That would be what I'd choose if it were available for exhaust systems. Otherwise yes your pipes aren't as dark as the bike but look fine to me,adds a little contrast,but in no way do i see brown in there.
