Love them bars!! Looks good!

They are very comfortable riding. My only regret is that I didn't go with the 16's.

I think they look great! ... Would love to see some more pics. Did you use the stock risers?

I had to cut approx. 1 1/2" by 1/2" oval slots from the switch housing to the outer edge of the clam shells for the levers to tuck the wires up inside the bars. You'll notice the stock bars are dimpled to accomodate the wires. At first I was a little freaked at having to do that thinking it might weaken the bars, but I can tell you after doing it, I could swing from those things and still not bend them. Or if you do it like 16over, he ran his wires internal.

The one thing I noticed, that I'll have to do, is score a cross pattern on the bars where they seat into the risers. Even after I tightened the living crap out of them, if you push or pull on the them hard enough they begin to slip. You really have to get into it to make it happen, but I'm not comfortable with that, so I'll fix it.

Thanks for the info, i wasnt clear in my question i meant to ask about what did you have to do to extend your wiring, I got them to drill them so i can run the wiring internally. The local bike shop cant seem to find anything in the parts books for extending to wiring. what did you do

I didn't extend my wires at all. I like the external look with wires and cables and there was plenty wire for the 14" bars. '16over' ran his internally, so you may want to send him an email and I'm sure he would be happy to tell you if he had to extend them or if he had enough also.

phwiw.....

I eventually ran my wiring internal on a set of 1" 14s.
I pulled the connectors out of the underside of the phrame near the neck..... there's an access panel there..... disconnected the connectors, then cut the wiring near that point. Pulled it all phree phrom the neck.

I used a rigid wire, pushed up the bars phrom between the risers to the holes I had drilled out under the clamps. Then I taped the control wiring to the rigid wire and pulled them back through the bars. Routed it through the opening in the top triple tree, back down into the neck, soldered in about 3 to 4 extra inches of wiring, soldered the connectors back on, wrapped all that up, reconnected, and replaced it in the backbone.

I won't tell you it was easy, I had to make several attempts to get the wiring through the bars, but in the end I think it's a cleaner look. If you take your time, and do it right, it comes out phine in the end.
