Default Odometer Diagnostics check??

Went on a benefit ride Sat. At the break point getting ready to continue I started up the bike (06 FXDWGI). While it was running I noticed that no milage was showing on the odometer. It was blank. Pushed the reset / trip button and all of a sudden the odometer is showing a diag check format. Anybody have any ideas? If I recall right it showed diag then I pushed the reset again and it showed ppst (don't know if those were the actual letters but regardless the first letter was flashing. Am I nuts?? Anyway, turned the ignition off then back on and all was fine and back to norm. Should I be concerned? Figured I would reach out in the forum prior to calling the dealer who will require I bring it in for a check.

might have just been one of those things that happen...the run/stop switch has to be on run....the trip reset has to be pushed in while the ignition is turned on...it probably said..diag..push the button it went to psst..no big deal........
