Alright, before I go to tearing into this maybe ya'll can help me out here. Just got off the phone with an old friend and he has a new replacement 21x2.15 chrome wheel assembly for a 2006 FXD. He is wanting to do a straight up trade for my ugly azz black rim setup. It is a dual flange hub with 1" bearings. Will this wheel fit my 09' StreetBob if I change out the bearings to the newer 25mm size.
The wheel will fit with the new bearings but you will probably have to alter the spacers....either grind the stock ones down or add some "washers" .
I put an 09 hub on my 07 and after I changed the bearings and the wheel was off center with the stock spacers. I had some stainless steel washers chromed to "re-center" the wheel. I have heard of others grinding down the stock spacers to center.
The spacers are differant inner diameter. I guess I will call him back and tell him we'll do the swap. That will be one more thing marked off the to do list.
Alright guys. I am going to pick up the wheel assembly Sunday. My question is which wheel do you all think would be best for looks and performance on this 21x2.15 rim?
Avon: 80/90 21 or 90/90 21 or MH90 21
Metzler: 80/90H 21 or 90/90H 21 or MH90 21TL
Never been much on tire sizes so if someone could explain the differance between the 80/90 and the 90/90. Is the 80/90 a lower profile?
The difference in the spacers not only lies in the inside diameter, but also the width. The 25nmm bearings are narrower, so the spacers will need to be wider.
Easiest fix, use your existing spacers, and let him use his OEM spacers. Once the correct I.D. bearings are installed, the spacers will be right.

Good point. What size tire are you running on the front?
