OMG! It's a miracle!! Someone from THIS board is going to get something besides apes or drags?! lol
I Really dig forward T's, but I'm not sure how they'll look with/interfere with the fairing. (I like the fairing too, not saying to remove it.) So in this case my vote is for the straight T's. ON ONE CONDITION. You have to narrow the bars as much as possible! Mount your levers about an inch from the bend and I promise it'll look sick.
any t-bar you decide to go with you should make yourself very simple process espically if your going black and you can save the cash for the house. jackyl
Are the T's only in raw finish for that price, or is that for any finish? (powder, paint, polish, or chrome)
As far as the attacks, check out the shops I put up in my handlebar thread. They do some awesome work and aren't going to rip you off. They'll build to Your specs, just like any other shop.
Here dude, I think this guy still has them available. Scroll about halfway down the page. Hand made polished stainless attack bars for $115. If he still has them, I bet you could get them cheaper. (He's had them for sale for a while now.) http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...=40033&page=10
Although I do love the way the bike looks right, I need to get some new bars. The ones I have now are nice and comfy, but I forget that riding with drag/Tbars makes my hands go numb. So, I need to get my arms back in the wind again. I hear having your hands at heart level is the more comfortable position or whatever..
So with that said.. here are a couple options for bars I'm looking at. I'm looking for the most inexpensive bars as possible.
1) Elswick Cycles forward leaning T bars in 12" rise
2) Elswick Cycles Turned Down T bars in 12" rise
3) 8" risers with Night rod special bars sitting on top (don't have pics of this setup.. but very similar to Crooky's style if I'm not mistaken.)
Or if you have any other suggestions, throw them out there!
Did you like your mini apes? They put your hands at heart level didn't they? Everytime I want to get T-bars for my WG, I keep thinking that my mini apes are at the perfect height and I can roll them forward or back depending on my mood. Good luck with your choice. BTW, I love the way your bike looks now.
