Default sportech windshield

I seen a post before about someone getting a sportech windshield. I m looking for a smaller windshield that doesn't look like *%$#* on my Bob. I also want to remove it when cruising locally. I looked at windvests, etc. It's all alot of $$$$. My other problem is Ihave a Kur roll bag for the forks I use for long stay trips so I need something small?????[sm=crossbonesgif.gif] Mako

Not small, but I like the looks of the HD quick detach windshields. They clamp on and when removed no hardware remains.

Windvest & sportech look about the same although windvest seems a little mor adjustable.

Mako,
I think that was me that was thinking about getting the Sportech. I am still debating on this, I do like the way the Sportech looks and it's release feature, just concern about the it's adjustability. There is just no reviews on this product anywhere!

I agree. I like the windvest and heard good things but are pricey. I am also f--ked b/c I just bought a large roll bag for the forks and need access to my triple tree. The sportech looks like you only have 2 positions. Bracket pointed up and bracket pointed down. Unless I buy a motherwell rack just for the roll bag I need to come up with something. Plus The windshild will be used more for the mediium and long runs where I only will use the roll for extended stay and storage. I got the detachable saddlebags(leatherworks) and have been able to cram most of my junk I need in them. Mako

Perfect place to jump in and say my new tool bag over the headlight diverts most of the wind away so my arms are not tired. 06 WG.
