I need some cheap throw over saddle bags for my Low Rider. Nothing huge, but better and certianly larger that the fifteen dollar horse tack bags I have. I'm not looking to spend alot or mess with relocating the turn signals. Can you guys post up a few pics of your throw overs and PLEASE tell me what they are called and who makes them. Also, where you got them and what they cost. Please, I'm not interested in 500 dollar custom bags, just cheap throw overs. Thanks.
I had these on my sportie with the throw over setup. Then I unzipped them and attatched them to an ez-bracket and have them on my Wide glide. Perfect for me and about a hundred and twenty bucks
I've got a set of ***** & Max compact slant bags that I used on my Honda Rebel and now use on my Sportster and used them once on my Streetbob for a weekend trip and they worked fine. About $100 new but you can find them used for half that or cheaper. If you pack conservatively they will hold a weekend's worth of clothes, I use them every day on my Sportster and they hold a rain suit and a jacket plus some other odds & ends that I haul to work every day. Sorry no pix but they fit and they work.
Thanks for the pics. I'm just not seeing any way I'm gonna get any kinda bag on without relocating those tail lights. The ones I have are about as big as that will allow. I should just order the kit already and open my options up to larger bags.
I've got these-H-D #90570-86ta synthetic(they look like real leather)adjustable throwovers. Thet are about 11" tall,10" wide, and I really like 'em not overly huge, and I did'nt relocate signals or use brackets. they are $89.95 from dealer.I like 'em
Thanks for the ideas. And robert, do you think they are big enough for a thick leather jacket. I can get my jean jacket or sweat shirts in mine, but as fall approches, I, like you guys, need a leather jacket for night riding, even though they days are still warm. Been on amazon and ebay looking, but I trust guys with bikes alot more than sellers, yah know what I mean.
