I took a Honda VTX 1300c front fender, cut the factory mounting bracket off of it and my stock 08 SB fender and welded the SB bracket to the VTX fender. No rivets for a clean look. Fits nice and snug between the forks. $85 for the fender, $45 for the weld job, $90 for factory black denim paint and $40 to a friend who paints. Not a cheap mod but really fattens up the front end.

At least you know the fender will hold up to more speed than the HD can make!

The original mounting bracket was stamped 3/16" steel! I couldnt bend it with a 3lb sledge to try to shape it to fit the SB so i had to cut it off and use the SB bracket. That would have really strengthened the front end of the SB. Very well built compared to the more flimsy stock fender/bracket.
