I was all set to order new Progressive 12" 412"s for my 06 Low Rider when for some unknown reason I decided to measure the ones on now. Trying to lower about 1/2" and I thought the OEM shocks were 12 5/8" c to c. The current shocks measure 11 3/4" c to c of the mounting bolts. Preload is set on 2. What in the world do I have now???? OEM shocks that have been shortened?? No sense ordering 12" if that's what I have now??
I think the physics of mass and gravity may be having an affect on your measurements. LOL. Those look like stock LR shocks - that's the good news. The bad news is, I'm fairly certain that the LR comes with 12" stockers, not 12 5/8".
Yup. In fact, off the wall fact...ALL the 2010 Dyna's now come with 12" shocks. I imagine this was to save money for the MOCO, however it also makes them all more user friendly for our shorter inseam having types.
