I was having that problem all spring. It was driving me nuts. Brought it in for the 1000 mile maintenance and everything now runs fine. They never did tell me what they did.

If it was set up by the dealer it's bound to be lean.

Plugs look too white for my liking. Who else can I get to retune this thing, since it was tuned with the Harley race tuner. The good news is the dealer located the tuner box that I was supposed to get when I bought the bike. I hate to have to got out and buy a PC when I already have the tuner. However I dont have much confidence in the dealer.

Go get the SERT from the dealer and have the bike remapped by a good indy shop in your area that is known for their dyno tuning. Of course it would be a good idea to see if you can find out if you have the 25deg. injectors installed as well. If the bike was serviced at your dealer, they probably have it on file.

Hey - my 97' FXD does the same thing before the engine is really warmed up, mostly when I just taking off and going into second gear.

The carb bikes will do that on cool mornings and pushing in the enrichener too soon. It's a lean carb thing.

Did you guys ever get this resolved?

I just started having the same problem. There's a stumble/miss when cold rolling up to speed in 1st and 2nd gear. Once the bike is warm, all is well.

I've been running a new map from Dynojet since my cam upgrade, but that was like 2000 miles ago and this just started happening last week.

Looking for suggestions/ideas.

Thanks.
