Engine cough, please help
Plugs look too white for my liking. Who else can I get to retune this thing, since it was tuned with the Harley race tuner. The good news is the dealer located the tuner box that I was supposed to get when I bought the bike. I hate to have to got out and buy a PC when I already have the tuner. However I dont have much confidence in the dealer.
Go get the SERT from the dealer and have the bike remapped by a good indy shop in your area that is known for their dyno tuning. Of course it would be a good idea to see if you can find out if you have the 25deg. injectors installed as well. If the bike was serviced at your dealer, they probably have it on file.
My 06 Street Bob just began what I call a cough, mostly when its cold but can do it even hot. While gently rolling on the throtle, usually taking off from a start, the bike will have a short fart where it feels like the engine misses and than I can hear a puff sound that appears to be coming out the air breather. It never stalls but its pissin me off. I put new plugs in and it is much better, but it still happens on occasion. Any tips would be greatly apprieciated.
I just started having the same problem. There's a stumble/miss when cold rolling up to speed in 1st and 2nd gear. Once the bike is warm, all is well.
I've been running a new map from Dynojet since my cam upgrade, but that was like 2000 miles ago and this just started happening last week.
Looking for suggestions/ideas.
Thanks.
Did you guys ever get this resolved?
