Default New mini apes help...

Ok guys and gals heres the deal I dont even know if I'm posting this in the right area but here goes. I recently came into a new set of Khrome Werks - Mini-Ape for FXD,10" rise, drilled. I think there the narrow ones tho. Couldnt find the part number. What I'm looking for is someone who might have installed these on there FXD or FXDC and might be able to give me some insight as to what size cables I need to order and any other info that may come in handy. I do have a service manual and can read at a third grade level so should be able to follow directions. That was an army joke for those of you that follow. Pictures would be cool to so I can see what it looks like. And if anyone is selling a set of cables drop me an email. Thanks yall.

have you tried to see if they would work as they are? sometimes you can get lucky and be able to use them wth the stock set up... 10 in is not much over stock, exp if they are narrow!

On the '03 FXD, 10 inch mini apes required brake line and clutch cable that came stock on the low rider. Throttle and Idle cables did not need replacing, but did need to be re-routed so they do not pass thru the tripple tree.

10.5" mini-apes installed on my 06 FXD worked great with a set of take-off cables from a Street Bob.

The specs for each cable is available on Harley's website.

Stock street bob cables are not expensive.... I'd rather be able to have the full range of travel and not be tugging cables at the end.

In '03, FXD and Lowrider had exact same throttle/idle cables from the factory. Only difference was the routing of them due to higher bars on the lowrider. Reroting them when adding mini apes on the FXD does give full range of travel without an tugging. Brake line and clutch cable are a different story.
