I am interested in putting a spring solo seat and p-pad on my Low Rider. I actually ordered a seat from harleyseats.com but they are idiots, never delivered as promised and gave me the run around. So I canceled the order and am looking at this option. I ran one for ages on my Shovel and loved it, so I'm thinking about trying that setup. Is anyone running one on a Evo or newer style Dyna? If so, did you buy an install kit or just piece together whatever parts you needed. Either way, how did you mount the front of the seat where it rocks?
Harley now sells a solo springer seat. Look on there website. I'm not sure if they made it for the older Dyna's however.. but I know the newer ones have the option.
But to be honest.. like many here have said.. rocking a sprung seat with rear shocks exposed looks not to good. Having the shocks kinda defeats the purpose of having a sprung seat. So perhaps throw some rigid struts on there then the seat?
I bought a Ultima seat on Ebay and then made my own mounting plate out of diamond plate. Worked out well...just wasn't comfortable enough for long trips so I sold it on Ebay complete.
Either covered shocks or hair pin style springs pretty much fixes the spring on top of spring look.I'd really like to see a spring seat with a P pad set up on a Dyna. Lately I've been trying to figure out a way to go two up with my Bob without making it look like crap.
