I'm just going to make some kind of bracketry and a foot support to bolt on there but thought I ask here first to see if anybody had any better ideas than me!
Thanks for the replies and suggestions chaps. I like the look of those peg extender things - that could work.
Like I said at the beginning - Forward controls don't do it for me, can't get comfy with 'em
Copper pennies - remember them? We still have "copper" pennnies here in the UK. Well, when I say copper, they look like copper.......in fact we all thought they still were copper. 'Til a mate put a magnet in his pocket that someone had lent him and all his "copper" coinage was attracted to like a dog to bitch in heat! Quite funny that when he put his hand in his pocket to get his money out in the pub!
I'm going to make a little temp shield to go over it for now, until I can find out where to get some of those extenders from here in England. It's not just the marks off the boots that are bothering me but the chrome is getting scratched too
I've made up a temporary plate to keep my boot off the pipe, not pretty but it'll save the chrome getting any more scratched. It'll do for now 'til I either get used to to not resting my foot on the pipe or I come up with a prettier / more practical solution.
I'm another vote for spray on oven cleaner. Works great on warm pipes. Takes a a few more sprays and rubbing on cold pipes. Don't want the exhaust super hot. Use in vented area. The stuff is stout.
