I just re-read your original post. You've discribed the test my dealer told me to do to determine if the rear isolator needed changing. Put a passenger on and see how it handles in a slow corner.

The second test was to jack the bike up off the ground and see if the rear tire remains vertical. If it leans to one side the isolator is weak. Hope this helps!

 

I like my Tru-Trac. Vibes a little less, bike feels sure-footed. Was not too bad before I installed it.
