Deer like Dyna's too...
On the way back from Kansas, headin for Houston...beautiful night, light traffic, lots of stars.. Made it out of Kansas fine, clear across Oklahoma, great, finally into Texas,, Almost home one last stop for gas,,Centerville Texas, 4:00am,, Just started loading up in 3rd to enter freeway, and a Deer desided to hop a ride.. All in all not very much damage.. Broke my ankle from being pinned between deer and shifter linkage.. (Already replaced the linkage).. Front fender took a couple of creases that I cant seem to work out, and the chrome heat shield on the front exhast took a dent..
If any of you that are doing mods on your Black Denim Street Bob's, have a front fender for sale let me know, mine is drivable, but needs to be replaced, If any of you see one on e-bay, or hear of one locally please keep me in mind.. Also any of you doing exhast work that might have the heat shields for sale (only need the one, but I'm sure you'll want to sell in pairs).. One last thing If anyone has been sucessful in removing your tank badges without bending them to bad, I would be interested in buyin one of them also( or again the pair)
All in all I was very Blessed.. He came at me from the left side as I had just twisted the throttle so he didnt get in front of me, that really could have been a mess.. I managed to keep it up untill the last few feet, I made it over into the grass, ( thus the heat shield damage) so the bike really came out very good.. My ankle got a couple of new screws, but I'm very thankful for the way it all came out.. If anyone can help with my parts list let me know I'm sure we can work a deal...

Sorry to hear about the bike. But glad to hear you are basically ok. Damn deer, every year I kill more and every year more of them come back.

Glad to here your OK RonnR. Nice job on not letting that deer get the best of you. I know there was a black cherry fender on the bay yesterday. It's the wrong color but, maybe it's time to get rid of the ugly black denim anyway.

Same here, glad your okay! Whiffleboy has removed his front fender from his Black Denim Bob, don't know what he plans to do with it. I was planning to do the same, but decided against it. Might want to PM him and ask.
