I'm looking for a speedo mounting bracket for my 06 Superglide other than the one that harley offers in chrome for my bike. I would like to find something that looks somewhat like the setup on the V-Rods. I am looking for something that will mount the speedo lower than what the factory mount does. I saw a pic of what I like in the new Harley parts catalog on page 210-211. It shows a pic of a setup that has the speedo mount closer to the bars, but it dont show that part it is just a listing for the visor bezel thats on the setup. Any suggestions? Another option that I have considered is the H-D bombay bars with the intergrated instrument housing and just either put my existing speedo in there if it will fit or get one that will fit to put in there.
Here's a really stupid question .... when you change Speedo's what happens with the accumulated mileage? Kept in the Control module? Does it disappear so I can have a "new" bike by getting a new speedo? LOL ....

Interesting John.
Which VRod??
Where can I see the bombay bars??
The picture on 210 does look pretty nice. Wonder what setup that is??
I am currently trying to work out the speedo mounting for my SuperGee with WideGlide MiniApe 1.25" bars.
Thinkin maybe bore out the stock mount if there is enough meat there.
Hummm,.......... see now thats what gets kinda confusing is because on the H-D site it shows that the bombay bars would work, but in the end it would be kinda $$$ since I would also have to buy one of the smaller speedos that would fit in there. Yeah if I went with apes it would be a lil easier finding a setup that would work but I'm really thinking of putting on some drags that have a lil pullback. I kinda want my hands in the same position as they are with the stock bars but maybe back just a lil.

Hey bear, have you tried repositioning the bars by way of loosening the clamps??
Shifted mine 2-3 times before I got em where I like em.
If you move em much you have to roll the controls/mirrors a little.
Be sure to keep us posted on the bars you pick and the speedo bracket.
That one on 210 looks pretty interesting.
I like mine where it is though.
