Hey All,
I have seen many switching to 10 mm pulg wires, and was just wondering if making the switch is as easy as changing the wires or are there any other recommendations to go along with this mod? Thanks All
I have 10mm plug wires on my personal bike. It's basically just cosmetic. The core is supposedly no bigger than an 8.8 core. Just more insulation. That's what I've been told anyways.
zero performance gain from doing it first of all, just so you know. But if you can pull a wire and push one back on, it is that easy. No remaps required or any of that stuff in case you are wondering.
thanks for the info. I didnt think it would be hard, was just wondering what the gain was. Seems to be a mod I will do when I run out of other things to spend my money on. Thanks again
Purely cosmetic and it's as easy as just changing the wires yes. Just make sure you take the time to secure the new wire to the front cylinder back to the horn bracket like the stock one is. The new wires dont' come with what you need to do that. Easily doable with simple tie straps/
Yeah, no gain.. just looks. But make sure you get wires that are listed as compatible with the Delphi ECM, if you want to retain the anti-knock feature.
