Default No Speedo?

I've got a 08 Super Glide and I'm thinking of just taking the speedometer off for now. Are there any electrical issues or other issues concerned with the bike that may be effected by this? I'm running turn signals still but those might be coming off soon too.

im currentlly running no speedo without any issues... you will most likely have thrown a code when you put it back on... but its easily cleared

You may throw a code, but you won't know it. I feel you will go through hell claiming any warranty issues without accurate, and validated mileage, or your ability to see warning of potential issues from warning lights or codes. I also think unaccountable mileage will have consequences when you go to sell or trade-in the bike.

No speedo here. Mine is so old it is considered "mileage exempt" by the state of TX, no problem!
