That poll has a flaw in it because the Fat bob has not been out long enough to have the same cult following the other Dynas have...Give it about five or ten years and then ask...I for one like the Fat bob....
Consider the Fat Bob Squadron thread... I'll bet there are more people 'checking in' on that post that are not taking part in the 'poll'.
i hear u there man, its like i dont get why anyone would get a SElowrider when they could have gotten a soft tail or a sportster
Why would anybody buy a soft tail it is such a bad design they had to revamp the engine with a counter balancer so it would not have ill affects on the rear suspension. The vibs per second at a given rpm would cause the rear spring to sag because it could not stand the harmonics.
Why would anybody buy a sportster a bike that girl wont even ride.
Why buy a FXDSE2 because it has 29 deg rake, 110ci, all the chrome you can get, custom paint, hyd clutch, inverted forks, resale value, and the nifty little gold key.
Its funny how true HD guys HATE SE models. Why is it because they cant afford one or what. You cant build a bike of that quality for the same price. Also if you did get close it would not have the resale of a SE.
Its also funny you guys ASSUME I dont like the FB at all. That where your wrong. I just dont understand how they almost have cult statis this quick.
Then puke some more at my glorious Fat Bob in the signature block. We love the Fatty because its a different and not a raked out, skinny front tire with a fat one in the back, sportin bags and a shield, with the usual stock exhaust.
But its a Dyna, you can change it however you want. So people put a single headlight, change the exhaust, add bags... who cares. But the main draw people have to joint he FBS is that its a different Harley altogether, much like the VROD was when it came out. I initially wanted a Night Train but got a Sportster yet when I saw and sat on the Fat Bob... I was in love.
When you do ride it you ride in the bike and not on top of it. You feel every curve you turn into and with the right mods to the engine, you ride a friggin beast of a bike to sit on.
BTW as much as we argue on these threads about bikes. You know if a Honda fan said one negative comment bout any Harley on here we do everything we could to drag him behind a Hog.

Exactly; it's the most significantly different air cooled big twin HD since the FXDX/T's of years ago; mostly they just play with parts/paint/chrome to create "new" models; the Fat Bob has some parts of it's own for a change.....and I gotta say, more of its own character FOR THE RIDER not just the spectators.....
Oh yeah; I think the $E models are gorgeous; I just would rather spend the $ on performance than paint and chrome....you've got a $erious 110 there, for sure.
Just got my new Fat Bob, I rode a Street Bob and a Road King when I was looking, then got on the fat bob! immeadiately felt right, comfy and aggressive riding position.
Sitting in the bike I really felt like I had control of the beast, turning is a body thing whereas on the SB and RK it was more like steering a wheelbarrow or a pram.
I think it's the low centre of gravity, it feels like I could get off the bike and leave it standing there no stand needed.
We had some toys called Weebles over here when I was young, the tag was "weebles wobble but they don't fall down" and thats what the Fat Bob feels like to me, but that probably doesn't make sense in the US.
Personally not convinced by the rear fender, looks a bit long to me but as I intend to load it up and do some touring I am quite grateful for the extra "Luggage space" lol.
I love the look of the Fat Boys and in fact think most harleys look great, for me though it was the Fat bob riding experience that made it the bike to have.
