its not road grime. i tried the s100 workd pretty good on dirty places. but i still have some discoloration. now that i have read what some of you guys have said im guessing the previous owner burned clearner on or let it sit too long. my next question is... has anyone used a product called por15? a friend told me about it. its basically a brush on engine enamel.
I've not used it, but I understand that it's nearly impossible to get off once applied. Be ver careful if you use it. Hot Rodders have been using it for years
I just looked at the por15 website, it says it is a Rust Preventive Paint, not a cleaner, they do have Marine Clean, not sure I would use either one on my ride though.
I have been using S100 for years, great stuff, tried Shout but it seemed to leave it kind of sticky.
S100 takes the paint ( black ) off the motor after awhile and that's from MY previous experience with my other bikes , now i only use soap and water ...

If you have access to anyone that can "steam clean" much better than chemicals. If not and can get to a pressure washer see if you can get your hot water to connect to that. I try to keep all harsh cenmicals away from my bike as a last resort and you use chemicals be sure and rinse rinse rinse and then rinse 3 more times.
