Default engine cleaner
im just curious as to what everyone uses as an engine degresser. the previous owner of my new 07 fxd didnt keep up with cleaning the bike. ive had to polish alot of pitted parts and the motor needs to be given extra attention. my motor is silver through and though. and suggestion will be appreciated. thanks...

I would start with S100 and see what that does first.

Make sure before you use any cleaner the bike has had a change to cool down. Don't need to bake the cleaner onto the finish you want to clean.

i use shout on my silver motor, works wonders... use it on a cold motor..wet it with some water first, spray all the silver powdercoat with shout, wait about 10 minutes and hose it off...

If its that greasy you might not want to clean it, might be the only thing holding it together...

Make sure whatever you do you rinse THOROUGHLY. Most of these types of cleaners are fairly harsh (that's why they work so well), so you have to ensure there's no residue left.
