Default 2006 Dyna Temperature

From some of the post I have read the, 06 dynas seem to run a little hot. Been riding mine and have about 800 miles on it seems to be running hot. Is there any way to bring down the temp a little, without going to an oil cooler. (New pipes,A/C, or synthetic oil).

Thanks in advance
Frank T

Syn oil will bring them down, as would a tune if yours is running lean. You could also get a ducting kit to route more air to the back cylinder, but I'd go the oil cooler route at that point.

switch to syn oil. I prefer Mobile 1 V-Twin 20-50. It will lower your temp about 20 degrees. Don't use Syn3 crap from HD.

"Seems" to be running hot? Or "is" hot? Big differance; things are not always as they seem. What is your oil temp (that's the easiest to check)?

Came in from a ride on a 90 degree day and checked the front cylinder wall between the fins with a fluke and it was 280 degrees.

I tried Syn 3 and my Low Rider hated it. Top end noise was horrible.

Went to Mobile V-Twin in the engine and primary. Mobile 75/90 synthetic in the trans.
