Leaded fuel
I know this might seem simple to some but I'm wondering if I can run leaded gas in my 08 FXDF? I have no catalytic conv or o2 sensors so what would be any negative effects if any.

It will damage the engine with its deposits in the engine and exhaust system.more freq oil changes, plugs will foul.deposits around the valves. It is just a bad idea since 1975 engines have been designed to use unleaded.

I wasn't thinking of running it full % or all the time, was thinking 50/50 or 25 93/75 105 now and then, I don't think it will hurt anything but I value other opines and will decide after I get more info so please any verifiable info (and opinions) are welcome

TOO HIGH WOULD BE A WASTE, BUT A COMBINED TOTAL OF AROUND 98/100 SHOULD PRODUCE SOME POWER AND A BETTER RIDE. i KNOW EVERYONE INSISTS THAT OCTANE IS NOTHING BUT AN ANTI KNOCK IMPROVEMENT OR FOR HIGH COMPRESSION, BUT THAT GOES AGAINST EVERYTHING I HAVE EXPERIENCED. I USED TO RUN 100 TO 110 OCTANE A FEW YRS AGO AND IT GAVE A SLIGHT PERFORMANCE BOOST AND IT JUST RAN BETTER. I DON'T EXPECT MIRACLES AND I DON'T INTEND TO RUN IT ALL THE TIME, BUT I WILL PROBABLY TRY IT. I CAN GET EITHER LEADED OR UNLEADED, AND THE UNLEADED I WOULD PREFER HAS NO ETHANOL, WITCH WOULD BE MY PREFERENCE AS ETHANOL RUNS LIKE SHEET, BUT I MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THAT. I HAVEN'T MADE UP MY MIND BUT I WILL PROBABLY TRY A GALLON OR TWO JUST TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS,

Let us know which is correct! If you run it and have to rebuild heads in a few miles. Will be interesting. Maybe Run a Google search on running leaded gas in a modern engine.
