Got tagged last night
Well title says it all 
. I'm new to the site but not so new to riding and got pretty much slammed head on last night. I got an 06 Street Bob that i LOVE, just got done puttin black vance & hines big radius 2-2 on there had it all nice and lookin good lol.
Anyways I was coming around a small curve UNDER streetlights and this guy at a stop sign decided to turn left INTO my lane...
He didn't slow down and try to move or nothing, all the while staring into my headlight!
Luckily I was able to jump off while the bike was going down and what-not. All he could do was repeat that he couldn't see me regardless of that bright ol' light in the front of our bikes...
Anyways damage is "somewhat" minimal:
Bent front rim
Bent forks
Bent handlebars
Broken Clutch lever
Broken Mirror
Messed Up Derby cover (AND it was the dark custom one!!!
)
Leaking from under the derby cover
I think that's about it
now here's the kicker. The cop just glanced at it with his flashlight and estimated the damage at $500. Obviously he ain't a Harley Rider. Besides, HD really means Hundreds of Dollars

At least i'll be able to get the new apes and stuff i wanted with his insurance paying my crap

That ****, im glad you"re ok, good thinking jumping off the Bike, I mean, it could've gone either way, or so the nay sayers would have ya believe that... But im glad your here able to tell us about it.
on a side note... are you Big Radius pipes messed up? scratched..etc... ya just mentioned they were new and just installed. whats the deal with the pipes.

The cop has nothing to do with insurance or insurance adjusting. Make sure you make a claim with the OTHER GUY'S insurance company. You did get his insurance information from him - right? Also get a copy of the police report when available.
Also, did the other guy get a ticket? If he did, there will be ZERO problem getting the other insurance company to pay. If he didn't get a ticket, make a complaint at the police department about why the cop didn't give a ticket to someone who clearly was driving neglegently.
