Default LowRider Risers

Hey guys,
I just wanted to post this in case someone was interested in doing the same (or close to the same) thing. I wanted to put apes on my 2009 LowRider, but didn't know what I was going to do with the idiot lights that are part of the top clamp for that year. There's a guy here who cut a whole in the dash and spaced out the speedo and tach. It looked great, but I didn't want to do anything I couldn't reverse. I decided to give these risers from V-Twin a shot. I saw that they had a straight bolt pattern, although there was still no gaurantee that it would line up with the stock top clamp. I ordered them anyway and they fit just fine. You can't use the chrome cover that hides the idiot light housing, but it really didn't matter to me...plus, you can't see it with a windshield.

Here is the V-Twin part# 26-0794

They come with two-piece top clamps that I did not use.

Also, they have a set-back...or you can reverse them and have them more forward.

Hope this helps someone,
Russ

Awesome info, dude. I'm looking at doing something similar this spring, and I, too, want to do something reversible. Thanks for passing along the tip!

You're limited to 620 x 280 here. I have larger pics, but I would have to email them to you.
