Default Stock riser replacement?

Anyone know how to tell if replacement risers will match up to the stock clamp bolt pattern on a '12 Nightster? I have the Joker Machine bar clamp that has the same hole pattern as the stock clamp/speedo setup, but I'd like to get some risers that are a little taller than the stock ones.

I could be wrong here ( it's happened before, my wife would tell ya), but I thought risers came in 2 patterns. Offset, for factory clamps, or straight across.

Truen 2 piece risers have 2 clamps and yup they are straight across. Factory ones are offset bolt pattern. There are risers made for this type of pattern, but they are real expensive. Its really easier to get a 2 piece riser set with 2 clamps. Give up the decoration for comfort IMO.

I'd like to go that route, except that the Joker clamp I bought was specifically purchased because it retained the dummy lights. If I go to 2 piece risers, i need to figure something to do with the dummy lights. I don't want to ditch them completely yet as I still find myself using them.

You want regular ol' Harley risers. Just like your factory stubby units. There's an offset, where the top two holes are farther apart than the bottom two. These are 8", black, for example:

Thanks fellas. Exactly what I was looking for. Now to decide if I keep the Biltwell Friscos I ordered, or put risers on and keep the drag bars. Decisions.....

Dont forget, you wil probably need new cables if your bike was made as it is right now. Harley doesnt even give enough room in the cables and breakline to even change stock bars to touring bars let alone risers over 1 inch or more from what ive read and seen. Make sure you check the cables so youll see if your going to hang up with the throttle when turning the bike or if your breakline will take the extra height. Clutch might be a bit forgiving, but not by alot at all.

You probably also want to consider going to Polly bushings while you have it apart. I just put on 4.5 inch pullbacks on my fatboy. Remember lock tight is your friend.

Forgot that part. Hey, i went to a dealer for giggles and asked about taking my stock buckhorn style bars off(they dont have enough reach for me) For the mini 12 inch apes with all parts and 2 hrs labor they quoted me $779!!!!! I hate harleys for just the fact they put on just enough cable knowing youll want diff bars some day and they will make a killing on replacements. Someday im going to do the upgrade myself, but i need a seat so i can ride the dang thing. Im making payments on a bike i cant ride LOL.
